Lighting for Chicago

This was one of our Studio entertainment shows, we decided to put of a scene from Chicago, "The Cell Block Tango"
What I found difficult was lighting for 10 different dancers, of different shades of skin colour, making sure they weren't under or over exposed. Also we didn't have the dancers in the day before the show so I didn't have all the information about placements, we had to improvise on the day of the show.
However, i really enjoyed this show because i had some freedom to experiment with different colours and play around with shadows and silhouettes to make the show look as beautiful as it could. I learnt how to programme the lighting desk and changing the lights to match the song and hit each beat.
We used the moving heads to light the poles which I haven used before, I believe working on this show improved and enhanced my learning on lighting and how important it is to a show.
