VT Editor
In the A.m was the name of our magazine show for our entertainment module. I was given the Vt editor role and this was my first opportunity to use media composer for real and not just for practise.
With this role i learnt how to add titles and how to position them, how to add a freeze frame and how to add images onto it.
This process came with a fare few problems, as i was new to this software i was learning as i was doing. Another problem we faced is our talent decided to pull out on the day therefore i had to change it last minute, this taught me firstly not to have talent in the opening VT.
When trying to import the footage we had issues because some of the metadata had been lost therefore we had to result in linking the footage, this made the process a little longer.
Other issues we faced were the white balance was not done before shooting, this made the footage greenish and over exposed in areas where the light had changed.
I had to learnt how to simply colour grade, to balance out the colours and try to fix the exposure.
