Camera Exercise JVC

This exercise was to create a short VT report using the JVC GY750. we had to include 2 short pieces to camera, an introduction and conclusion, voice links, general views and vox pops. We got into a group of 4 and decided what to do out report on, we chose to us the coffee story and then decided film in the grove atrium. I took the role of the producer/Director however as a group we planned out our shots. As a part of the task we had to remember to get across the 5 Ws in our intro. When setting up the camera, we had a few issues with the white balance and the focus. this took up quite a lot of time to figure out, once we sorted that out we started immediately with our intro and then moved on to outside, i figured that in order to get good natural light we needed to do that immediately. We shot some GVs and vox pops outside, as we spent a lot of time on working out the settings on the camera, unfortunately we didn't have time to complete every planned shot. however i think we worked well as a team, everyone took on a role naturally and we all helped each other out and produced a good VT. What i would have done differently next time is to sort out the camera before we got to our desired set, this would saved us a lot of time and we then could have spent more time shooting, we had very good ideas but not enough time to execute them.
